“The place is big and has everything we need (blankets for cold nights or AC for hot weather, hair dryer, towels plus everything to cook). The place is quiet, surrounded by nature and just far enough from Santa Elena (5 min drive). You do need a 4x4 to get to Las Marias. The host was very nice and accomodating with our arrival/departure times. We had a fantastic time. We would go back for sure!”

“This was our favorite stay during our two week road trip to Costa Rica. The resort is a quick drive into town while still being removed enough to feel immersive and peaceful. We saw so many birds without even leaving the property and enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and friends by the breakfast porch area. “We had such a lovely stay at Belcruz. When we arrived, Randall welcomed us with a great explanation of where to go in Monteverde and took us to our room. The room was great - clean, comfortable bed, spacious, great view. Breakfast was delicious. We needed to plan our next move after checkout, and Randall made us drinks while we sat in the restaurant/lobby and planned - and saw a few cool birds right out the window. Plus, we got great hand made bird ornaments that his wife and daughter make……

“Got the room option with private bathroom very basic but good for what we needed. Felt safe and it was super convenient to everything. Hostel vibes with friendly staff and a restaurant right next door. If you want a place to rest your head between adventures this is it. ”

“The location was very nice, our cabin was right at the woods and we saw an armadillo from our balcony at night. The cabin is well equipped and charming. The only thing I would add is an explanation of how to use the air conditioner or hot air, I’m not sure. Also as the clima is very humid, maybe offering an option to use a dryer for clothes. ”
