“We had an amazing time and my train obsessed 2 year old LOVED that the trains were across the street! They even have a train museum and large model train across the street. There’s an adorable little icecream spot around the corner we walked to and had a blast. The bed was comfy, the studio was super clean and welcoming and it perfectly suited our needs for the weekend. “Fantastic stay for Shenandoah hikes. Make sure to shop before hand because grocery and gas are quite far, but the property is beautiful and has many little critters running about near the main clubhouse (i.e., kitties of many kinds and a massive duck as well). The grill is a George Forman but it still worked as well as we needed for basic hot dog and burgers for dinner. Overall great experience and will absolutely book again if we return for more hiking!”

“We took our 18 yr old here on a trip of Virginia and NC. This house was perfectly located for the hikes and tubing activities we wanted to do. Skyline drive was cool even though it was foggy and drizzling on and off all day. Into Charlottesville one day for tubing on Rivanna river. So glad we have the washer and dryer. Super clean and had extra things like kleenex, coffe and shampoo. Really felt like home. ”

“One (probably the smallest) of several lodgings on the property. Overall, a pretty cool place to stay. The whole unit has a subtle sway to rock you to sleep. Personally, I loved it. We stayed in 90 degree weather and the A/C was a LIFESAVER. My only real complaint was one of the other guests in the castle kept leaving the common kitchen a bit messy. Thinking about coming back and trying the hobbit house. We pretty much kept to ourselves, but there are plenty of common areas to hang out.”
