“This hotel is a fantastic base for a visit to the wine region. The hotel is a short drive from Franschhoek with the hotel providing an excellent shuttle bus service. The staff could not be any more friendly or obliging if they tried and we really felt at home here. The only gripe is that the pool beds are not that comfortable but otherwise this a hotel I would highly recommend and will definitely stay there again.”

“This has to be one of my favourite hotels ever. Richard Branson does not disappoint with his focus on customer service and the details that elevate your stay. We were greeted with a cocktail and a tour of the facilities which included tennis courts, a gym, a pool and a spa. “We stayed in one of the Forest cottage. We loved the grounds of the hotel and the gardens were so beautiful. We booked late and the only room available was one of the cottages. We found the decor to be very dated including the bathroom and it had no air con. The bathroom taps were very stiff. The pool area for these cottages felt like it needed updating/cleaned and the lounger covers on the chairs were in need of a clean and quite dirty. Overall we were quite disappointed with the accommodation.……

“The Neighborhood is a great place to stay in Franchooek. I’ve stayed here twice-once with my brother and once with my husband and son. The accommodations are stylish and in great condition, and the location near the wine tram can’t be beat. You can walk there and to several stores and restaurants. It’s easy to get in, and we stored our bags after checkout both times without any issues. ”

“Amazing property! Rooms were extremely well prepared. Free bottle of wine and a cheese board upon arrival. Bottles water and a prepared log fire. Breakfast was freshly prepared and served in the terrace overlooking the gardens. I will be returning. ”

“Plumwood boutique hotel was situated close to all the amenities in Franschhoek. The room was spotless. The staff were excellent on always on hand to help us. We had an amazing breakfast with a fantastic choice. Lovely little touches such as a bed turndown, message on our pillow, slippers, hot and cold drinks always available and a beautiful bracelet as a parting gift.
