“Great staff, bar was packed on arrival but we were checked in to our room straight away. Far too busy & noisy to eat in the bar, so they opened the restaurant for us and another couple so that we could eat in peace. Despite the number of customers we were served quickly and efficiently. Very good food. Room was a bit tired, flaking paint and in need of a bit of updating but the bed was comfortable and the room reasonably quiet even though on a main street. “My daughter and I stayed for 1 night as we were attending performances at the nearby theatre. The hotel was lovely and we were lucky enough to have what a couple of the staff described as the 'best room'. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was a little soft for my liking, although still comfortable. All staff we encountered were wonderful, so friendly and helpful. The small amount of food we had was a hit, especially with my daughter! We would definitely stay here again. ”

“Great location. The hotel is almost next door to the railway station. The room is clean, warm. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that there is no lift and the staircase is very narrow, which made carrying four suitcases upstairs a real challenge.”

“Stayed for 2 nights in a river view room. Whilst the room was on the small side this was not an issue as the view was amazing. Everything we needed was provided and the room was imaculate. Food was pub themed and very tasty. Staff were very friendly and we won't hesitate to return sooner rather than later.”

“Hotel decor was ok some doors could do with a repaint . Staff were lovely helpful and polite although they seemed to be very busy probably need a few more people . The bathroom door didn’t shut properly in our room but this was fixed promptly after reporting it to reception . The breakfast selection was very good and the food in the bar was served hot and fresh ( We didn’t try the restaurant . Good gym with plenty of machines . Overall a nice stay for a couple of nights ”

“For three motorcyclists in our 60’s it suited us perfectly, Cooked breakfast, evening meal, a bar, a comfy bed and private parking, it ticked all the boxes. 😀”
