“Different. I mean that in the absolute best sense of the word. From the small red door to come in, to taking my shoes off inside, the classical music playing on entrance, the beautiful fireplace and welcome area, the suit of armour, the staircase, the 4 poster bed, the free standing bath...I could go on and on but this is possibly my favourite hotel I've ever stayed in. The balance between being true to it's heretige and yet being warm, comfortable and good WiFi were outstanding. What the……

“We had a lovely stay, the beautiful surroundings made it very peaceful and relaxing. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The only downside was not being able to walk to any restaurants. ”

“Great food options both for evening meal & breakfast. The bed was very comfortable (room 24) however the bathroom extractor fan took an eternity to go off & it was noisy! The fan itself needed a good hoover. Shower also disappointing very little pressure, difficult to get a good temperature. Decor tired. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The tea/coffee room facilities were excellent. The flask of milk & water very much appreciated. Thank you. ”
