“Had a great “apartment size suite” for an amazing price. Including full kitchen with island, separate living/bedroom and even laundry and an outdoor coveted deck with bbq. Amazing value. Used the spa as well which was fantastic! Definitely recommend it!”

“Unit has some wear. Multiple lightbulbs burnt out especially in the bathroom which is rather annoying as it would of been such a simple fix prior to our arrival. Elevator was closed for repair and we were not informed of this until the day of check in and the message said it had started a few days before our arrival. ”

“This is a very nice quite location. The building and rooms are on the small side but very nice. Not super modern but still in good condition. The hot tub was always quiet and so nice to use in the evening. Parking was a bit tight and a gravel lot with huge potholes so be aware! No real view from our room other than the treed yard, but it was nice and private. Staff was very friendly. Included breakfast was awesome, but it would be nice if they asked how you wanted it cooked. I don't like runny……

“The Malcolm has become my favourite hotel to stay in Canmore. The amenities are superb.. hot tub..fire pit & pool. I’ve enjoyed many first class meals at the Stirling where lovely Jessica has been my hostess. I chose a Malcolm Royal King room overlooking the Mount Lady Macdonald & Policeman’s Creek from the top floor this time, much quieter than the pool view. My room was spacious and comfy. A big thanks to all your wonderful staff for making another stay memorable. I hope to return in……

“Only one bad point: next to train rail, noisy when train pass by. Do not book this from expedia. I found that it is a discounted offer with no ensure car park lots and a next to road side room after i booked from expedia. Lucky that basecamp can arrange a parking lot for me and next time i will book them directly from their website. “The lodge is in a convenient location close to downtown, walking trails, great views. The downside is the train tracks that run right behind Base Camp Lodge and several other inns etc The trains are very loud through the night. Request a room in the front or side of buildings. ”
