“Friendly staff and great location. Well situated just a few blocks from the central square of Plaza de las Armas, this hotel was previously a family home. The owners then built additional guest houses, a cafe, the breakfast room on the property. There is a tranquil well manicured garden to hang out on nice days, a few cats, and a dog. If the owner is there, she is very personable and will help with any questions or contacting local drivers / tour operators for last minute needs. It was clean and……

“I came to Hacienda Roman knowing that in this part of Peru, you can't expect all the amenities like WiFi, cable TV, etc. If you go in with reasonable expectations, you'll be happy with this hotel. The pros: Staff are quite nice. Food is tasty and available fresh on site. Personal attention, especially the tour of the coffee/jungle out back, is phenomenal. The entire stay was worth it just for this!! The cons: Cooking is unbelievably slow; it took us no less than 1.5 hours to finish a meal……
