“When you picture an old-style beach motel, this is pretty much what you might imagine. Cute and comfy, basic and a little outdated, but still rocking and rolling. The location keeps you out of the more expensive downtown and beachfront areas, which means you save on money, but you will likely have to drive to the restaurants, bars and shopping. “Couldn’t ask her a better view… Right on the ocean. Just gorgeous. Friendly owner… Called about the TV and he came right up and showed us how to use it. The bed was comfortable. However, it was very dated. Ugly wallpaper print. Old showerhead and low intensity. Stove top was very old. We stayed there because we wanted a pool, but the second day there was a basketball team there and the pool is very very small. Not full pool size and more like one family at a time type pool. “I had a king oceanfront room on the third floor. The room was clean and set up nicely. I had a corner room so I had windows on two sides which made for a nice breeze flowing in. The ocean is directly across the street and it’s a short walk to the nearest beaches in either direction. Unlike a hotel, there isn’t anyone at the front desk after 8 pm but I didn’t need that. “Fun location in a classic American seaside town, great spot for a couple of Nova Scotians to explore the area and make a daytrip to Boston. Room was a little old and cramped but clean enough and functional, although a microwave would have been good. I wouldn't stay here in peak season though, the town would be jam packed, and the hotel was loud enough in October due to overlooking the pool and kids playing soccer in the parking lot.
