“This property was really beautiful and the staff were so kind! Unfortunately as it's an older building, there is no lift to the rooms so it probably won't be accessible to people with mobility challenges. ”

“The Punchbowl Inn was a lovely pub to stay at, the staff were very friendly, the food was amazing. The room was lovely and had a fantastic view of the dales. If I had to be picky it would have been nice to have a shower curtain or screen over the bath as using the shower head I tended to flood the floor, but the water was lovely and hot. and I would return again.”

“This is a beautifully appointed cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's in a quiet location looking out onto a courtyard. Although there is no onsite parking, we had no trouble finding a parking space on the square. Visitors should also be aware that there is no outdoor seating area but we were out and about so this wasn't a problem for us. We would recommend the fish and chip place - but go for small fish and chips! The large are for those with a very large appetite! ……

“A comfortable cottage with all necessary amenities, including a wood burning stove and plenty fuel. Located in a small village near a friendly pub. Village shop is only open half days but Leyburn with a range of shops and places to eat is only 4 miles. Great area for walking”

“Lovely accommodating owners of the guest house. Nice room and bathroom. Area to sit downstairs and watch the TV, which was lovely. Surrounded by nice walks and a local pub. Breakfast was also nice. I cannot fault the place.”

“A five star property and staff — some of the best food we’ve ever had traveling, and here it is in the Yorkshire Dales! Friendly, helpful staff to a person, every shift, every position. The historic manor house buildings are beautiful, tastefully updated to allow a glass-walled dining wing that looks out over the rolling green hills. It’s a stunning setting. The bedroom is the only shortcoming. Peer facilities might offer visitors pillows of various stiffness to accommodate different sleepers’……

“If you would like to experience living in a 400 year old cottage, with many original features, surrounded by so much beauty and peacefulness, then this is the place for you! I cannot recommend it enough. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by hens and cats. We were then shown to our ‘living area’, bathroom and upstairs - a double bed and bunk beds. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful. There were so many extras included - books, binoculars, tea/coffee/hot chocolate/fresh……

Horsey paintings added to the ambience as racehorses trotted by the window! Soothing and relaxing! Breakfast was the best ever in a b n b. Hostess Sharon made us feel like friends. Our dog loved it too!”

“Spacious clean room. Liked the fact that the breakfast choices went beyond a Yorkshire breakfast. English muffin with cream cheese and smoked salmon, baked egg… Didn’t eat dinner as we felt the menu was a little underwhelming. Staff were friendly.”
