“A really great find! Un peu de cuisine française en Angleterre! Service is excellent, food is so good 10 isn’t enough. They actually know what a ‘kir’ is and the steak comes with a béarnaise thats perfectly made and at the right temperature. The dauphinoise potato was unspeakably good. The rooms are excellent, you can tell that someone has sat and thought about all the little details. Honestly, if you are anywhere near Lancaster for any reason and can find any excuse, you should eat and stay……

“The staff were amazing we were on a motorbike trip and they accommodated storage of our bikes, drying our very wet gear, food was brilliant for both dinner and breakfast, only downside was some very drunk, very loud locals coming into the bar/restaurant and shouting and swearing and generally being a nuisance and disruptive. Other than this one thing a brilliant hotel and great stay ”
