“This is such a special place. Our cabin is adorable with chairs on a little front porch and all the amenities inside one could want. The bed was super comfortable. We had a fire outside in the fire pit last night. The wood was provided and we enjoyed sitting by the river with a waterfall that flows past the place. “The glamping tent was clean, the bed was super comfortable and it’s such a lovely setting. We sat around a fire and watched the sun set behind the hills, ate a delicious meal at the bistro and had a quiet morning in the common space writing postcards. Didn’t want to leave! “Charming! This pleasant inn reminded me of something in a Miss Marple novel. My room was clean and well-furnished. Staff was pleasant; there doesn’t seem to be often someone at the front desk, but my call to the duty phone was answered quickly. I didn’t take advantage of the free breakfast, but it looked and smelled great. My one complaint is the parking lot: the lines are so close together it was hard to park and then hard to open my car door. Overall: a lovely place and I'd stay there again.”

“Butler House speaks of itself: a house with the amazing management of a great butler - the result of the dedication of the owner, Paul and his wife. Paul was so friendly and though he was always busy at the breakfast room, he always checked if we needed help Our room was spacious, clean and tidy and offered everything we need.The kitchen is big and we enjoyed cooking there. I used their washing machine and dryer and detergent and softener were available. Highly recommended for couples……

“Lovely place to stay with plenty for kids and adults to do. The room was beautiful and spacious for 4 of us. We enjoyed our stay but did not enjoy the pizzas. They were poor quality and tasted cheap. Great place to stay but avoid the microwaved food. ”

“The good - The property is unique, clean, and overall welcoming. All of the staff that we encountered were really friendly. If you are here in the summer you have to make it a point to check out the stream in the back. The water is so clean and it’s very picturesque. The bad- The bathroom in the room had no working ventilation, it was very very humid and just never seemed to dry out. The common area in our building was just blah and the door was left open a lot so there were a ton of beetles……

“You will never see me again giving full 5 star review ever again. When i drive up there its look farm side but Stowe itself was beautiful and hotel was extremely clean and staff was friendly. Pool looked clean and its had a good gym. I didn’t had time to try their lunch but its has to be good as hotel itself.”
