“Stayed here for two nights while visiting Bath. Loved the room (named "Jake") with its compact space and the layout between the room and the bathroom. You just can't get places that have character like this in the States. Ate dinner both nights in the restaurant which was very good. On both nights (weeknights) the restaurant was full. “This is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at, and I've stayed at a lot of hotels! We had such a lovely room that had the stream running past the window. The beds were super comfy and the room had lots of plug sockets which seems rare in hotels! It was a Greene King but the food was better than any I've been too and reasonably priced. Service was quite slow considering how quiet it was but the staff were very friendly. The pictures online don't do this place justice, a real hidden gem! ”

“There is parking behind the waitrose and staff walked us there after their shift had ended to ensure we understood the parking App since tomorrow is the Farmers Market on High Street and we would have to move the vehicle early. Now it’s all sorted and paid in advance. Of course it’s an older hotel and everything is crooked and settled, but you should come here for that eclectic experience, as we did. I just miss the old mural that was painted in the pub before, replaced by a more modern map. ”

“The staff was very friendly but I have to admit the internet even at times when I could connect was so weak, I couldn’t even access my emails. The shower has a power saver machine on it but the problem is the hot water cycles from cold to warm to scalding and around and around so you constantly have to dip under and out. I can’t say the stay was worth the price.”

“The Angel was a spur of tge moment stay, while visiting a customer. This is a natural trust area, lots of history in Lacock. The propery is as close to original as possible, very old world. Rooms are sympathetically updated, to include en-suite bathroom. Accessed via cobble streets, the smell of coal fires, sound of horses and laughter. Nostalgic to say the least.
