“Great hotel in the very centre of Leeds. Lots of bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Great base for shopping. 10-15 minute walk to First Direct Arena. Lady on the front desk who checked us in was lovely. Standard room was a great size and had everything required. Very clean. Breakfast was good quality with a wide choice to suit everyone. Gentleman who seated us for breakfast was curt and boarder-line unpleasant. ”

“limited hotel services, much like basic business hotel, tooo bad that the lift to car park was not in service during my stay, I need to walked through stairs with my working stick (I have some problems with my legs)”

“Really good hotel next to Bramhall Lane football ground. Check in was easy and the warm chocolate cookies were very nice. Room was clean and comfortable and the shower was excellent. Could benefit from a few more coffees and milks on the tray though. City centre only ten minutes walk from the hotel. ”

“We had a wonderful stay at The Barrel inn. They were accommodating to our potential late arrival, the room was spotless, cosy and fresh. The amazing view at sunset was stunning and although we were too late to eat dinner there, the breakfast was delicious. We had a brilliant night sleep and great hot showers the following morning. This was a recommendation from a friend and so worth it, we’ll definitely be back. ”

“Was good value for money. Conveniently situated for visiting Renishaw Hall wine tasting and gardens . Comfy bed, and not a bad size bathroom. Rain shower but no hairdryer. The food in the restaurant was really good, not that quick to appear but it was worth the wait. We didn’t like being so close to the road though.We couldn’t get the window to close properly so that it made it noisier once the traffic started in the morning.”

“There is a very good service. Although my original room has no electricity, they let me have a suite room. Their cooked breakfast is very delicious, especially the smoked salmon.”

“A classic hotel with comfortable, spacious rooms. Friendly and competent receptionists. Nice breakfast. Continent breakfast self-served buffet or hot, customised English breakfast That take quite a while. If come by train, need to get a taxi ride of 8-10 minutes. We arrived late in the evening. Have to queue for half an hour at the taxi stop.”
