“A beautiful old Dartmoor Inn in a very pretty village location. Terrific range of local ales and ciders and great food. Lovely walk in shower, but needs a corner shelf for toiletries. Paintwork needs touching up in places, but, overall, a wonderful, comgortanle plce to stay.”
“As a family of four with 2 teens and a big dog, it's difficult to find somewhere not over priced and a big enough space for us all. We stayed in a very spacious family room. Bathroom had a big drench shower and heated towel rail. Plenty of space for our dog's big bed! Ben and the other staff were very friendly and attentive, also accommodating to our needs. Breakfast was included and fantastic choice. We ate at the pub on the second night and the food really was fantastic and a good varied menu.……

“Stayed in the Stag room. Was beautifully decorated, big room and en suites. Absolutely massive bed and really comfortable. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Afternoon tea and breakfast were delicious with a wide choice of options. I felt that the dinner option I had was a bit “nouveau cuisine”, lots on the plate but not much there. But what was there was very well prepared.

“I had a wonderful nights stay in a king size bed in an extremely quiet farm away from normal life. There was a good view of the splendid fireworks from the Summer ball down in Tavistock that night, then waking up to a lovely cooked breakfast.
The couple were very helpful throughout and I will book again.
Don't expect modern day living just homely comfort and a great view of the countryside on a working farm.”
