“The house makes a good impression on the first sight and was perfectly clean. But the kitchen equipment was lacking basics like bread knife (provided on request), a sieve or sufficient amount of bowls. At the stove only 3 of 5 plates worked. Both showers were flooding the bathrooms every time. Sleep was interrupted each night several times by barking dogs in the neighborhood (really noisy) and in two sleeping rooms darkening was not possible. The renting agency and craftsmen entered the house……

“First time ever we cut our losses and boarded a flight home 60 hours after arrival. This property high in the hills over a motorway in an area with few pavements which where not being dug up was a total rip off. We were expected to know it was up in the winding hills with 24/7 noise from the motorway and nearest supermarket 45 minute walk away. A taxi back in from there cost €15. Taxis up and down to Funchal approximately €20 a day. We never got any sleep from our arrival on Sunday until we……
