“Very clean, and well kept static. Good size main bedroom with ensuite bathroom which was nice. The second bedroom is very small with tiny beds so if you have kids that are teens you may find it too cramped, an adult would certainly struggle to sleep on the beds. It was very clean and obviously cared for. Let down in a few areas which if addressed would making it top notch, main thing was the master bedroom mattress, it's obviously a cheap mattress and not very comfortable, the kitchen is……

“What a beautifully unique place to stay! We were in the Gamekeeper's bothy and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was clean and spacious and the wood stove kept us plenty warm! We never saw any red squirrels but I did see a beautiful jay that was so different from the blue jays we have in the US. I would stay here again in a minute!”

“This was a last minute booking for us as a wee family treat. The hosts were there on arrival and kindly gave us lots of great tips for exploring the surrounding areas. There is paddleboarding and axe throwing adjacent to the site and Montrose and Brechin are a short drive away. Treat yourself to a lovely riverside woodland walk (blue door walk) in the pretty village of Edzell which is also a short car journey away. The host also advised us to try the Anchor pub in Johnshaven village for food……
