“so we knew we didn’t sign up for the Ritz Carlton, and we knew that this was a Lake George motel, not a five star hotel. And, we were very very pleasantly surprised, with a large spotlessly, clean room, a hard shower, comfy beds, lovely neighbors in neighboring rooms, a sweet swimming pool not on the highway like many are, but down at the water edge, wonderful, lounging spaces, beautiful lounge, and Adirondack chairs, a large deck off the back of the property, with a swim area in the lake, and……

“Despite platinum Expedia status, no room upgrade was offered at check-in and when I asked we were told no other rooms were available even though the couple in line behind us at reception were offered several alternatives. However, after mentioning this in a Hilton review we were offered a complimentary breakfast which was very kind of the hotel management and greatly appreciated by us.”

“I always enjoy staying at the Stonefence. They are upgrading the pool area so that wasn't available to swim in, but the beautiful river was! I hope that opening the restaurant will work out for them (they were doing a "soft opening" during the stay). I loved my lunch out on the patio, reading my book and seeing the river.”
