“This is the most beautiful cabin you could ever wish for! It is secluded, quiet, and the view from the top is even better than the national park! The drive up the mountain is a little intimidating if you’re not used to driving up mountains like us. It is about 20 minutes up and the closest option for food is about 20 minutes away. That being said you should pack meals to eat in a cooler, we only packed sandwiches and a few snacks but wish we had packed any food we might of wanted. The owners……

“We were in town for wedding at the Clifton and chose this cottage as the price was much less than the hotels in Charlotteville. We were pleasantly surprised about how nice is this cottage is; it is well decorated, very clean and has eveything! The host even had K-cups and sweetener for the coffee maker and a basket of snacks. There is a cute outdoor seating area and fire pit too. The cottage is located near Monticello and some of the local wineries. We highly recommend this cottage to anyone……

“The Ivy Rose Cottage was very comfortable and creatively decorated. The kitchen is nicely supplied for cooking simple meals. The trains did not disturb us and were fun to watch, especially the Amtrak. Great pizza and local brewery in nearby Crozet plus an excellent Harris Teeter grocery. Highly recommend this location for anyone looking for an out-of-town stay. ”

“Great time being outdoors, enjoying local sites and traveling in to Charlottesville.”

“My husband and I had a great time at this cozy property. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Very clean and stocked with plenty of amenities. Very responsive and welcoming host. We will definitely rebook if we are back in the area. ”

“The cottage was very cute. It definitely could have been cleaner, as there were waxy lip prints on the bedroom window and a few dark smudges on the walls of the bedroom and bathroom. Also, it wasn’t made clear in the description that most of the one-lane, curvy road leading to the property was dirt/gravel. If it had been raining, it would have been pretty treacherous in a small car. My SUV handled it fine, but it did get very dirty. Overall, the property was quiet, comfortable and fairly well……

“We came for two nights to escape NOVA for a bit with our kids and dog and it was so lovely! We started with lunch and wine at the Tasting Room and it was delicious, the staff was extremely welcoming and attentive, and the decor and grounds were really cute. Guy let us check in early as the house was ready and it was so gorgeously decorated. It really felt like a home, not a sterile rental. Our family didn’t want to leave. Getting to walk the grounds with my dog as well as the kids was just……

“This setting was absolutely bucolic, and the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains were stunning. But it seemed as if the owner was not ready for our visit. We arrived on a very chilly day, and the heaters had been turned on, but not long enough to warm up the cottage. We actually had to sleep in our coats it was so cold that first night. It took almost 24 hrs for the cottage to feel comfortable. It appeared that we were the first guests of the year, and the cottage had not been deep cleaned since……

“My husband and I enjoyed this home so much! Beautiful location, house is immaculate, communication with owners was perfect! Cannot say enough wonderful things. We booked it again immediately for a trip we having coming in the fall. ”

“The property was quite cozy, off the main road, and extremely peaceful. Sitting in the hot tub looking at stars was a great way to end the night. Located about 40 minutes from Lurray and a short drive to Massanutten leaves plenty of options for the whole family. The property seemed well maintained by the host and we felt welcome upon arrival. We will likely be back next year!”

“If you’re looking for a peaceful, secluded outdoor oasis, then this is the place for you. The accommodations are modest and quite small for a family. However, if you are spending most of your time outside and don’t need a full kitchen then it would probably fit your needs well. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit, taking in the views and soaking in the hot tub. ”
