“The hotel actually has two sections on two sides of the bridge. We were expecting to be on the water side but was disappointed. The room only has a small window facing the back of the hotel. Nothing impressive at all. The staffs were not helpful on anything. We were asked by the front desk to go across the bridge to make booking at the hotel restaurant. ”

“What beautiful place to stay. With lovely weather we had a really nice stay. I love being surrounded by greenery, so relaxing. The only downside for me, was the fact our room 'Executive double' was right by the main entrance to the rooms on the ground floor, so you didn't feel very private. I opened the curtains and there is the delivery man in his lorry. We would stay here again, but would not want to stay in that room again. ”

“Good stay for one night although the room was right on the roadside so some traffic noise particularly annoying in the early morning. Good food, dinner and breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful.”

“The food from the bar menu was not inspiring. The smothered chicken was good but the hand battered fish was below average. Breakfast was under whelming . Having said that the staff were welcoming and attentive. The accommodation was excellent. Bed comfy , room very clean. All reception and corridors clean and well maintained. We would stay again. ”

“We booked our stay back in September. On 13th October we travelled 200 miles from Scotland, arriving at 8pm, to find it closed. It transpired that the hotel had gone out of business on 5th October. No one had thought to inform us, and cancel our booking! I spent an hour on the phone speaking to various people in America, employed by Hotels.com, assuming they would be able to help, perhaps by arranging alternative accommodation. Instead they each wasted time by going through the same pointless……

“Room size was exceptionally and impressively large. Excellent condition throughout and bathroom looked new. Bit of traffic noise in night to be expected on a bank holiday weekend and mattresses were satisfactory. Location very central though and parking was easy. ”
