“All was great, but I must say that the breakfast was not made that good. But it was a nice stay, and I would probably go here again. The dinner was OK, I had fish and chips. “Just a brief overnight on a business trip. Lovely character building. Decent size free car park. Single room was pleasant and comfortable. Location is in the town, so inevitably some traffic noise specially early morning. Take earplugs if that tends to disturb you. Very friendly staff and good breakfast available from 7am, which was handy as I was travelling further on for a meeting. Highly competitive b&b rate.”

“We stayed 2 nights in a 2nd floor room over looking the courtyard. The staff were all very welcoming & friendly. The breakfast had a good variety, nice and hot & cooked well which is not always the case for buffet style breakfasts. The location is good for the Peak District. Plenty of parking & although due to weather we were not able to enjoy it, the outside area was very pretty. The bathroom could benefit from a little work. Overall Good Location, welcome staff, excellent breakfast.”
