“We stayed here for one night while visiting Alton Towers, and it was ideal. The room was very clean, and the staff were both friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the on-site restaurant, which was delicious—just what we needed after a long day. They also offer a kids’ menu, which was a great touch. Breakfast was just as enjoyable, with a well-organised buffet offering plenty of options. There’s also the option to upgrade to a hot breakfast at a very reasonable price. The room had everything……

“The location for visiting Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. Convenient for the town and sights of Bakewell. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff at the hotel. Comfortable rooms with great toiletries in the bathroom. ”

“This was our first visit to the hotel since it was refurbished. I’d saved up to take my husband there for his birthday treat. When we got there, we were so impressed and our room was lovely, apart from it feeling very warm. We realised that we were directly above the kitchen. It was really noisy, as the extractor fan was so noisy to the point that it felt like we were about to take off on an aeroplane ( and that is no exaggeration ) We were kept awake by the staff laughing outside and throwing……

“Great little place for a night away with kids, basic but comfortable. The thing we loved was the little courtyard with plenty of tabkes and chairs outside the cabins where you could see your child playing on the play equipment whilst chilling. Only stayed in the basic cabin and didnt upgrade to the princess rooms but from what we could see, it was a much better set up in these to be able to keep a close watch on you child. Made it a relaxing stay and would defo use again.”

“Anything you read about the property being a bit dated... It is indeed true. But honestly, the place is perfectly fine! The beds were comfy, the place is clean, the staff are absolutely lovely. If I paid more I would expect more, but the price is good value I think! Especially given the small spa facilities. ”
