“Our stay was in an older, 2-storey motel-type building surrounded by villas. All suites in our building faced the ocean, and the beach boardwalk was a few steps away. Our suite had a kitchenette and was large with stunning, direct views of the ocean and nearby rocks from the large balcony. Enjoyed it immensely. Difficult to find as it is in Alvor, not Portimao proper, and there are numerous Pestana facilities in the vicinity. The grounds are under construction and parts of the complex are a bit……

“Nice holiday for families, but a couple can also enjoy it. Food was decent. Buffet was ok and varied options, but the restaurants were definitely better. One of the restaurants wasn't open during our trip which was disappointing. There were some even shows but unfortunately didn't catch any. Like the free drinks and lots of areas to get them throughout the property.”

“Wonderful time at Editory by the Sea. Within walking distance to old Lagos. Two main beaches within a ten minute walk. It’s a beautiful resort style place with an outdoor and indoor pool. It is brand new, so there is some things they are working through. Staff were wonderful and all spoke English. The included breakfast was great, large buffet. They have a bar outside that serves food during the day. At night they have a set meal at the restaurant you can purchase. Close out the night with a……

“Amazing! Friendly and helpful staff, unexpected welcome with bottle of champagne fruits and chocolates in the room upon our arrival. Plentiful and delicious selection at breakfast. Located in quite residential area of Lagos and a short walk to a nearby beach and trailhead along the coastline. Would highly recommend, we would gladly return for another stay.”
