“I have rarely used exceptional to review a hotel but the Kames was. We travelled here from New Zealand on holiday and we only had one night but it was exceptional. The restaurant menu is top class, the range on the menu was great and seriously 10/10. I had locally free dived seared scallops from the loch, I had the slow roasted goat shank with lentils - exceptional, and we shared a lemon tart with fresh berries. I loved the Kames and I seriously recommend both the hotel and the restaurant. That……

“Location: Great on the sea front at Largs and next door to the famous Nardines restaurant. Parking: plenty of parking at hotel which is free. Note of caution: this is a hotel designed to host weddings. So depending on your stay there might be loud music until closing time (Midnight). Rooms: very comfortable and if you upgrade there is amazing views out to the sea. No air conditioning, but tea coffee making facilities. No fridge. Overall. Pleasant stay, safe quite location, but as I have said……
