“As former graduates, we were naturally delighted to be able to stay once more on the campus of the University of Kent (at Canterbury), UKC. It's certainly developed the intervening 53 years! We were particularly impressed by how the University has been able to put key buildings into every available space, without making the site feel overcrowded. The freezing winds, whistling directly from Siberia, have now met their match in the (almost) completed campus. We were even able to go down to……

“Check in was great. Managed to park right outside the door. Room was ok. Only real complain was the en-suite. Dated and the shower valve very worn and difficult to set a good temperature. Over all would stay again. ”

“We had a lovely stay, exceeded our expectations on almost every count. The hotel is brilliantly dog-friendly. The breakfast offering was particularly good - a different menu, with flexibility within the options, and the buffet was lovely as well. The location is fantastic for walking and beaches, which is all we wanted for this trip, so we are very happy guests and would certainly return for another visit.”

“The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was in need of some refurbishment and the shower was poor. However, Howfield Manor is a beautiful building and even in December the grounds were lovely. I would like to stay there again. ”

“Perfect location opposite the harbour and close to the beach. Good bars and restaurants on the doorstep and walkable into town or the theatre. ”

“This hotel/b&b was ok for the money, friendly host who was accommodating with check in and showed me to my room. Room was basic but had everything you need for a quick overnight stay. ”
