“This hotel is in the prime area of West Beach! We chose it, because it was a little cheaper than the others in the same area. The beach access is amazing, staff are extremely helpful and we loved the beach restaurant and bar. The rooms are a little outdated, but very clean. The pool was somewhat of a bummer- much smaller and older looking than most of the surrounding area pools. The breakfast package we had included in our stay was also a nice additional benefit, but some mornings the breakfast……

“Why Ibagari isn't rated higher, I don't know. It has everything you'd expect in a boutique hotel, plus more. 18 rooms! Means no competition for beach chairs, staff attention, snorkeling/diving. The boat taxi is an easy way to go up and down the beach, The restaurant is highly rated so your meals are amazing. Rented a taxi to see the sloth rescue (fun), very reasonable. Would recommend you do not rent a car, the roads are challenging (super high, super low and 1 1/2 lanes wide). Planning……

“We stayed 2 weeks. Celeste and her team are exceptional. We didn’t want to leave! They treated us like family. They helped us plan excursions, recommended local restaurants and had great recommendations on the best snorkelling spots right off the beach, which is only a short walk across the street. We have already recommended West Bay Lodge to everyone who asks about Roatan! Make sure you check out their guest special packages at the on site spa. We had an amazing 2 weeks full of snorkelling,……

“Only stayed one night in the econo room . The place was clean , staff/owner was nice. They had a great pool You would probably need a car to go most places or catch the local bus that I think is about $ 2 pp. on site restaurant had a good menu and a great cooking staff”
