“Love the gold rush feel of the hotel. Matches the town. The rooms are lovely with a quirk that makes the stay worth while. Bathroom was great (the door wouldn't close unless the toilet seat was up!!! - love old hotels) and shower was hot when I needed it. Didn't sample the breakfast but heard it was good. Easy check in/check out and staff was awesome. ”

“The location was perfect for how we wanted to spend a couple of days. In the heart of Main Street with several shops, reataurants, and wine tasting opportunities. “We had a change of plans for our road trip and found this delightful B and B at the last minute. We were very pleasantly surprised; the property is beautiful architecturally, the hosts were really gracious and welcoming, and the breakfasts were wonderful. Murphy's is a little foodie haven with a bunch of local cellar doors open to the public, and historic goldrush era buildings in the surrounding villages. We didn't plan for tennis, but the hosts are both ex pros; so if tennis is your thing,……
