“Was good value for money. Conveniently situated for visiting Renishaw Hall wine tasting and gardens . Comfy bed, and not a bad size bathroom. Rain shower but no hairdryer. The food in the restaurant was really good, not that quick to appear but it was worth the wait. We didn’t like being so close to the road though.We couldn’t get the window to close properly so that it made it noisier once the traffic started in the morning.”

“The staff were all polite and helpful. The room was clean tidy and had a very good nights sleep so bed was comfortable. Situated in a great place we went to the Picturedrome which was next door. Thank you for a wonderful stay would definitely stay again ”

“Stayed here when visiting for a wedding in Holmbridge. Could not fault the stay. I knew we would be arriving around midday and was concerned because check in was not till 3pm. Called a few days before to ask about early check-in, and the gentleman on the phone was so friendly and helpful- said they would do all they could to have our rooms ready early. When we arrived on the day, both of our rooms were ready. All staff were very friendly and it seemed they were genuinely invested in ensuring you……

“Really good hotel next to Bramhall Lane football ground. Check in was easy and the warm chocolate cookies were very nice. Room was clean and comfortable and the shower was excellent. Could benefit from a few more coffees and milks on the tray though. City centre only ten minutes walk from the hotel. ”

“Stay in a working monastery! The buildings and extensive grounds are superb. The grounds and gardens are well tended, and make for an extremely pleasant stroll. The place oozes character and makes a memorable visit. All this on the outskirts of Huddersfield. The rooms are basic but clean. Breakfast is only "continental", offering cereals, muesli, yoghurt, plenty of fresh bread for toast and lots of strong filter coffee. The staff are friendly and welcoming.”

“A classic hotel with comfortable, spacious rooms. Friendly and competent receptionists. Nice breakfast. Continent breakfast self-served buffet or hot, customised English breakfast That take quite a while. If come by train, need to get a taxi ride of 8-10 minutes. We arrived late in the evening. Have to queue for half an hour at the taxi stop.”
