“Ran by a wonderful couple who are really friendly and accommodating. The lodge is in a beautiful location and the facilities and room are lovely. Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful. “The stag were extremely welcoming, warm and friendly. The room was a very good size with a modern en-suite bathroom. The evening meal menu had a varied selection for all tastes and the quality of food was excellent, being very well cooked and presented. Breakfast was high quality local produce with a large serving. “Lovely people and delicious food. Bar was very friendly. Spacious room (#5) and big and comfortable bed. No internet in bedroom (think it was faulty as it showed a signal) but OK in bar. Water pressure in room #5 very poor but clean a pleasant bathroom. No mobile service but that is obviously not The Maypole’s fault!”
