“Such a beautiful stay at the Staycation Maldon. Very nice location at the heart of the high trees. The suite was very beautifully decorated for Christmas and this really made it very special. Spacious rooms with kitchen made it super convenient and comfortable. Aircon/Heating unit in every room was super required due to the cold weather. My wife and I loved it and for sure will be back again 100% recommend!”

“Perfectly placed in town with allocated parking. Friendly greeting on arrival and no surprises when entering the room. Unfortunately the room opposite was being used by restaurant guests as a toilet and attracted a couple of groups that were a bit loud but it did not overly affect the view of the stay. TV was in an awful position as it was impacted by the post of the bed and the light in the fridge was a bit annoying during the night as I’m a lite sleeper. Nice and clean, water and soft drinks……

“We were the only guests Limited staff Despite being only guests we couldn’t extend our departure We had wanted to stay until closer to midday as we were attending a midday funeral but house keeping needed to clean room for later incoming guests In the end we sat in Costa to kill time”

“Disgusting!!! Avoid at all cost. Upon arrival the caravan stunk There was mould in the fridge with leftover food which had also gone mouldy Wee in the toilet No gas/water/electric upon arrival we had to wait for the owner to.tell us how to plumb this... after 2.5 hours of waiting. The oven had no shelves for us to cook and only 1 hob worked. We decided to leave within 3 hours of being there once we found alternative arrangement. The owner refused to refund our 3 night stay aswell deeming it……

“We have stayed at The Victory three times now, it is very convenient if you want to go out for food around West Mersea and don't want to worry about driving. Plus it is close to the seafront walk of West Mersea Beach. Rooms are very clean, plus you have the advantage that they are part of a pub, therefore the ability to step down for a drink or food at any point.”
