“Excellent budget stay. I was the only person in an 8-bed dorm, and was one of only two people using the communal facilities on the night of my visit. Excellent hostel facilities and good systems in place.”

There was poor comunication between expedia and kings Head regards the number of people in our party for the room!
But staff did all in their power to compensate and make us comfortable!!
Will certainly go back and will give an excellent score.
Loved the food and everything about it!!
Only downside is - food stops at 8pm.
But they do ptovide a cold platter after this time that's delicious!

“I had a wonderful overnight stay here. The room was lovely, ver quiet with beautiful views and a very comfortable bed. I did use the spa which was at extra cost but it was lovely and relaxing. I opted for the fine dining in the evening and it was outstanding. Breakfast was included and the menu had plenty of options from continental to freshly prepared hot options.The staff were very helpful and friendly- I will certainly rebut for a longer visit. ”
“This is a beautifully appointed shepherd's hut on the edge of a pretty and quiet village in the North Pennines. Lots of walking routes nearby and just a few miles from Appleby-in-Westmoreland.
We enjoyed our stay very much though were disappointed that the internet signal was so poor. The TV would not stream smoothly so not worth having it there at the moment. Still, this was a small sacrifice for the pleasure of experiencing tiny living life for a few days. Everything else worked really……
