“Such an amazing Inn! Perched above the walk & the setting was so tranquil & beautiful. We spent two evenings sitting at the fire pit enjoying the peace & drinking a glass of wine (lovely afternoon wine & snacks provided!). We loved our room - the decor was stunning - so many special touches. Breakfast was also a treat! Can’t wait to come back! Truly a special place!”

“The property was beautiful. Old architecture, completely restored, and makes it feel more realistic staying in old town! Parking is included, but it is a pretty good walk away from the property. Not easy to get the car in and out, so we just left it there. Driving and parking around the city are tough. They are strict about you checking in early, so you have to be there right at 3, and make sure to call ahead. Overall a really neat experience! ”

“This is an excellent B&B! Chris, the host, makes everyone feel at home and relaxed, it truly is like a home away from home. It is located really close to all of the downtown restaurants, shops and waterfront and it was so nice not having to worry about finding a parking spot in a busy Bar Harbor. The Sandbar is a place where you just want to stay, maybe stay forever, if it were only possible! ”

“Booked last minute when we decided to stay the night in Newport. I was pleasantly surprised by the price forbthe accommodations. The place has tons of character, which I love. My husband didn't care for the way the floors sloped a bit. The included breakfast the next morning was served in another building across the parking lot and could be considered gourmet.
