“This hotel is a bit of a faded beauty queen. It was probably once top notch and gorgeous but is now a bit faded but still a place I would recommend without hesitation. The staff were unfailingly polite and the food was great. The area around is a bit...colorful (think "Rainbow.") Cardiff seems a very open minded city and if this bothers you maybe avoid this place as it is located right in the midst of some businesses that cater to that crowd. However, they kept to themselves and I kept to mine……

“Nice room—small but adequate. Great beds! Shower was nice and hot. Breakfast was worth the $15. The location of the hotel was perfect. We walked to the castle, High Street and the Cardiff Market. Great restaurant choices and decent shopping within walking distance. We also had drinks and played games at the bar. Nice friendly sta”

“This is a very nice hotel and the rooms are spacious. We are satisfied with this comfortable stay experience. But I think a minor thing may need to be improved. The temperature of bath/shower is not very steady, and it dropped down after several minutes. Besides, the water from tape also took several minutes to become warm. Since we visited in April and it is still a bit cold, when I washed my hands I felt a bit freezing. It would be better to access hot water more easily.”
