“We had such a great time at Windermere House! The location is absolutely beautiful—right on Lake Rosseau with incredible views, especially at sunset. It feels peaceful and private, but still has a lot going on if you want to explore. The hotel has this really charming, old-school Muskoka vibe but with all the modern touches you’d want. Our room was super clean, cozy, and comfortable. We spent a lot of time out on the front lawn and veranda just relaxing and soaking up the view. The staff were……

“Stayed for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! While the facilities were dated as noted by other reviews, DO NOT let that discourage you because the service, cleanliness and location was perfect!! We requested a second floor room which was nicely decorated, very spacious and CLEAN! Bed was comfortable and our view from the room faced the woods and beautiful trails. We had breakfast on-site and it was quick, tasty and affordable. Make sure to try the home fries, soo yummy! The staff……

“Probably the best resort I have been. From clean property, quiet environment, friendly staff. Elegant hallway and we were surprised how fancy the bathroom and our room in general looks like. Not spacious because we had two king beds but overall we enjoyed our stay and we will definitely come back! The bed was so comfy wish we could stay one more night. ”

“Great newer hotel with excellent and helpful staff. Clean, quiet and in a mostly residential neighborhood about a mile from the “old town” area that has some very good restaurants. Ask at the front desk for a restaurant listing. ”
