“Great staff, bar was packed on arrival but we were checked in to our room straight away. Far too busy & noisy to eat in the bar, so they opened the restaurant for us and another couple so that we could eat in peace. Despite the number of customers we were served quickly and efficiently. Very good food. Room was a bit tired, flaking paint and in need of a bit of updating but the bed was comfortable and the room reasonably quiet even though on a main street. “Hotel decor was ok some doors could do with a repaint . Staff were lovely helpful and polite although they seemed to be very busy probably need a few more people . The bathroom door didn’t shut properly in our room but this was fixed promptly after reporting it to reception . The breakfast selection was very good and the food in the bar was served hot and fresh ( We didn’t try the restaurant . Good gym with plenty of machines . Overall a nice stay for a couple of nights ”

“Very nice hotel comfy and clean staff were accommodating the breakfast in the morning was very good. One thing I’d note is use the ear plugs left on the glass jar next to the bed, the high street can get busy in the early hours. ”

“My daughter and I stayed for 1 night as we were attending performances at the nearby theatre. The hotel was lovely and we were lucky enough to have what a couple of the staff described as the 'best room'. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was a little soft for my liking, although still comfortable. All staff we encountered were wonderful, so friendly and helpful. The small amount of food we had was a hit, especially with my daughter! We would definitely stay here again. ”

“Loved our stay at here, staff were very welcoming and helpful and patient with our young Vizsla dog. Ideal set up for staying with a dog, with rooms located opposite site of the car park to the cosy pub. Food was excellent. Definitely would come and stay here again. ”
