“We stayed at Achill Guest House for one night before starting a canal boat trip from Alvechurch Marina. We appreciated that it is a family-run guest house with a funky charm one doesn’t find in a chain hotel, even if the walls are a little thin and we could hear our neighbors a little bit. “A stunning property and one of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in. Great value for money. I loved all the facilities and the staff were very friendly. My only big disappointment was arriving at the hotel not to be able to use the pool and spa as apparently you have to book ahead. I had not been notified of this as I booked with Expedia not the hotel directly. This was a real shame and one of the reasons why we booked the hotel. We were able to book a one hour slot the following morning which……

“The Ettington Park hotel is an extraordinary English Family Castle with a great & long history. Our stay in this hotel was extremely comfortable and relaxed. Despite belated arrival at night, we were all welcomed by their staff with thoughfully arranged dinner & wine & porter services of many bulk luggage. “We received a warm welcome at check-in and enjoyed nice sized room with a very comfortable bed and pillows. The hotel has a good amount of parking (at a very reasonable rate) and a good offering at breakfast. I’d definitely look to stay here again. 4 stars instead of 5 due to dirty glassware in the room, tired-looking carpet and not enough coffee provided in the room. ”
