“Had such a lovely stay at Cartmel Old Grammar, a great location close to the village with gorgeous views of the racecourse and beautiful rooms. The breakfast is particularly good. Lauren is such a fabulous host and made our anniversary weekend very special. We will definitely be back. ”

“We checked in to this beautiful old inn, and were greeted by owner Johnathan, we were shown to our room and told if we needed anything just ask. Being the winter the kitchen is closed Monday and Tuesday which Johnathan apologised for, we replied it’s absoulutly fine. He told us of the local Chinese just up the road and said please feel free to bring it back to our room to eat, which we did. Excellent Chinese takeaway. We slept like logs and woke to have full breakfast that Jonathan cooked which……

“The hotel building is beautiful and nice planed. Easy access from train station, less than 5 mins by walking. There's a super maket just right beside it. We had a good stay with it, it's a good hotel to consider when you visit the area.”
