“Lovely comfortable place to stay with a cosy room with thoughtful touches like biscuits and toiletries included. Friendly, helpful staff. Convenient position - not too far away to drive into from the motorway and only minutes’ walk into the centre Penrith with its bars restaurants and attractions. Delicious breakfast too! “We have stayed here before. The staff are great, food is good and there is plenty of space. The location is perfect in this lovely town. Dog friendly and human friendly too. It is an old hotel but that adds character not detracts from it. Highly recommend. ”

“This proved to be one of the superior B&Bs we have ever used. Apart from the comfort and cleanliness we discovered two small brownies and two KitKats on the tea tray. Breakfast was delicious - porridge, fresh fruit salad, any cereals, full breakfasts and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon . Very inexpensive.”

“The staff, the food at both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Parking is just across a quiet road. Our room however left us literally cold. Old building, 'wavy' floors, single glazed casement windows facing the prevailing - brisk - wind and an outside temperature of close to freezing. Then the heating gets switched off for the night ! Considering that this was the most expensive 'one nighter' on our recent trip, we were less than satisfied.”
