Everyone went out of their way to be kind and helpful, even helping when our plans to tour local sites got messed up by a very heavy winter storm that caused power outages. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was a bit pricey, but excellent quality and our servers could not have been better. Breakfast every morning was delicious and, again, our server was lovely. Would recommend this hotel if touring Derbyshire area. ”

“We received a very warm welcome with refreshments in the garden with our hosts. This house has history which becomes apparent when inspecting the quaint interior. Our room was small but comfortable with features matching the age of the property. Breakfast taken in the vine room were excellent with various choices. The pleasant guest lounge was comfortably furnished. Our hosts, Hillary and Graham, were warm and friendly. We would certainly use this B&B if staying in the area again.”

Whatever your expectations are they will surely be met and exceeded. If you are looking for a quiet oasis to relax and retreat from the hustle of daily life, this is it. The gardens are work in progress and offer the potential to make this a much saught after retreat location. Would we come back. Without a doubt! ”
