“I beg to disagree with people saying negative reviews about this place. Though some are right, but their regular rooms (which is the oldest rooms they have) is totally different to their deluxe rooms (the newer ones at the 2nd floor). Therefore, I suggest get the deluxe room just have to add a couple of hundreds which is still cheap. Shower room is clean, aircon is cold, bed is enough for 2 pax, tv with cignal cable. I was not able to ask if they have wifi. There are also chairs and tables……

“This place has character. The staff was excellent and accommodating, very friendly and responsive. The rooms are a bit old but clean, everything works, good air conditioner, and decorated with antiques, handmade local items, even a large bookcase with hundreds of interesting older books. The parking is onsite, a bit crowded Saturday night but no one blocked you in and there is overflow parking right outside the gate just a few dozen meters from your room. “I had some meetings in Calaca and decided to stay the night in Canyon Woods. I was not expecting much from previous reviews and I was surely IMPRESSED with what I saw. Check In was very efficient with knowledgeable staff. The room itself was clean and modern. The bed was comfortable and air conditioning which is a must was strong and cool. The best thing about this hotel is the view during sunrise. You get a glimpse of the sun with the Taal Lake as your background. The breakfast was plated but……

“The hotel, like most of the hotels in Tagaytay, is facing the crater lake. But the international hotel chain has been a great disappointment to me. First of all, for the time I found my Deposit box in my room is wrong; secondly, the hotel is very old, air conditioning noise is very serious will let you hard to sleep for the whole night； finally, encountered two problems so serious, obviously there are other rooms in the premise, and the reaction I they did not mean to change the room.”

It's a new hotel that just opened December 2024. - While not at a central location, the location is accessible if you have a car, you can get to at least where she needed to be. - Hotel has dining and breakfast was included with the booking. - Hotel staff are great.
