“The place has a great view but that's because it is almost a part of the ocean. I do not think the property will be there much longer before nature reclaims it. The beach is gone. There are giant sandbags in covering the beach in a last ditch effort to save the property. I was there less than 2 years ago and the beach was much wider with soft sand. Now you have to do gymnastics to get over the sandbags and to the beach. And the beach is mostly hard, broken shells. The houses near by are almost……

“I been staying here for 4-5 times now, we like the property. The pier is really nice for fishing, really the one reason why we stay here. Easy fishing access. Wife likes the area and is quiet, centric to the outter banks can go north or south quite easily. Will continue to come back for years to come ”

“We came from Sterling, Va., to spend a few days at the beach. We were given a warm welcome by Heather who checked us in, showed us around, and gave us excellent suggestions about things to see and do. You would not be able to find a more gracious host than Heather. The Sanderling was recently remodeled and is beautiful. The beach is just a few steps out the door and was pristine. The Sanderling provides chairs, towels and umbrellas. The food was delicious and we ate frequently at the……

“I enjoy this campground. It is close to Hatteras Point, fishing, the ferry, shopping, and restaurants. The staff are superstars, so personal and professional. I highly recommend this campground. Its not fancy but it is very clean and comfortable. We will alsways come back, and generally stay here atleast 3xs a season. ”

“They did away with the breakfast bar. Now, it is grab and go. Pot luck in a bag. May be a banana. May be a tangerine and a muffin in a bag. The fruit so far has been going bad. Banana was brown, twice. Tangerine was very soft. My room was clean but the lower floors smell like weed. Check-in was at a kiosk where the guy speaks broken English. I had a difficult time understanding him. I told the guy that i wanted to pay with a different card than i had on file. He still charged the card i used……
