“We had an excellent stay. It's an adorable little beach cottage, perfectly located. Excellent outdoor shower!Note for future renters: Even though they're in the pictures, blankets/comforters are not provided. We have stayed in multiple BYO linen rentals before where basic blankets and hand towels were included, so we only packed sheets and bath towels. Be sure to pack entire towel and bedding SETS (hand towel, bathmat, comforter, etc.)”

“We were in the area to visit family and always enjoy the Slaughter Beach for its quiet natural beauty. The Mermaid Cottage was clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. We will definitely be back!”

Would recommend monthly cleaning of gutters- we endured some heavy rainstorm due to the hurricane and the water just went right over the gutters because they were plugged full of pine……

“We had a great time. The space is certainly on the smaller side, but that just encourages everyone to go outside, and it was perfect for our family of four and our dog. Jenny was VERY communicative and kind. There's games and books, perfect since the first day we arrived it rained. The place is also very walkable--there's a yummy oyster bar, a seafood grill, and a beer garden all at the end of the street. I spent most nights hanging out on the porch with our dog, Would highly recommend!”
