“I stayed at the Birdham in late January 2025. The room was very comfortable, the breakfast was particularly good - excellent menu, good cooked options, and delicious. I used the restaurant and bar on one evening, which again was excellent - good choices, delicious food, and a good atmosphere, it was used both by locals, and for business meetings. I would recommend the Birdham to anyone looking to stay in Bembridge or the Isle of Wight.”

“The property is a period house and the owner Chris has kept it to that style, very clean with a excellent breakfast cooked to perfection by Chris with a wide and varied choice of food. Whitwell is a designated dark sky area with some very pretty houses lots of thatched roofs,the local pub is only a few minutes walk and well worth a visit,the food is excellent. I would definitely recommend a stay at Kingsmede ,it fulfilled all my wife and I hopes”

“Great location for the beach and town. Nice hotel. Staff are friendly but not really efficient. The youngsters dealing with breakfast could really benefit from more training and perhaps supervision. Getting a drink in the evening can be laborious unfortunately. Room was comfortable but walls are thin due to the age of the hotel. Overall pleasant. ”

“Our experience at this hotel was excellent. The lady assisting us to check in was very nice. She showed us around the hotel facilities and gave my kids swimming toys. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel had three swimming pool, one indoor and two outdoor. My kids really enjoyed the pool. In addition, the included breakfast was delicious. This hotel definitely deserves that we come back.”
