“The stay was great, Frank was helpful and welcoming, parking was secure, the location and views were wonderful. It is easily the best house in the area with friendly staff that made you feel like you were part of the family. I felt like I was visiting a relative’s home, and reminded me of Rio. It felt like an uncle let me stay at his beach house for the weekend. I loved it, and it gave a real “slice of life” perspective to my Dominican Republic vacation.”

“I felt comfortable, despite initial problem with my reservation through Expedia (which took 3 calls to resolve), and some construction noise. I stayed 4 nights in the 6bed dorm room. I miss the hostel dog Amazon, the most. It's a very basic hostel but staff/volunteers/owner/guests were very nice. There's a water shortage in Samana so no long hot showers, or even much water cold water due to weak water pressure. Wifi was intermittent at times. Breakfast was good, something different every……

“The Cabit was great, it was well equiped and not small. However, no one was there to greet us. We were lucky a kid that knew the place gave us a key to enter. There was also no one the checkout, nor to start the pool engine. Wouldn´t recommend”

“Accommodation consists of individual rooms to let in the host's own house and you share (part of) the kitchen and other shared areas including swimming pool, indoor and outdoor dining areas etc. She is lovely and sociable although doesn't speak much English (apparently her partner who does speak English normally lives there but wasn't there when we visited). It's not really walkable from town or any other facilities, so unless you intend to spend your time relaxing on-site, it would suit……

The hotel staff is very friendly and offers a lot of information about the city.( what to do, where to eat, how to get there, etc.) They will even order the food for you.
