“Does the job really! If you need a quick night's stay before getting the ferry or tunnel then it's ideal, however be aware that some rooms have no windows and the place is a *little* rundown. Main receptionist was really nice and very helpful - I would stay again but only for short stays.”

“No matter what negative things I report about our stays at M of G, we do genuinely like staying there and will return when necessary. It’s excellently placed for Channel Tunnel travellers (and possibly ferry users too, not sure) and is the best quality accommodation we have found in the area in the 30+ years we have traversed the route to Europe. “Stayed on a Friday night as we were at a family do. Perfect for us. Had the twin. Both beds comfortable - one softer than the other. Had everything we needed. There's limited on site parking but wasn't an issue for us as road restrictions finish early evening and there's no restrictions on the Sunday. The owner was attentive and helpful. Information sheet was perfect. The breakfast was excellent! ”

We were in a corner room so had two windows - we also had a neon sign outside so there was constant light in our room and it was misleading when we woke during the night Breakfast was lovely - great variety Staff very polity and helpful Would definitely return but would bring eye mask ”
