“The service was excellent, the food good, good breakfast. Parking free and WIFI good, nice sized TVs in the room, nice sized rooms. You CAN sit in the Martini bar area with your dog to eat your meals. The decor is a bit tired looking, 1990s dated and our dog friendly bedroom as not cleaned to the best standard there was a stain on the carpet that would have been easily enough for someone to get rid off which the correct products. Perhaps puppy pads available to buy at reception would help the……

“Rooms were nice and staff were friendly. Stayed on the 4th floor try and avoid if you can. Room was directly under restaurant so got disturbed early on with chairs and tables shuffling and banging common about 7.45am”

“Parking is in The Lawns car park and at £10 for 24 hours is reasonably priced. Check in was very welcoming and everything explained, including the refurbishment being carried out. The room was lovely, as was the bathroom. Mugs on the tea/coffee tray are a great idea, hotel cups are often far too small! The bed was very comfortable but unfortunately I had trouble getting to sleep as the staff from the restaurant across the courtyard sat outside after closing, talking and laughing until……

“A nice hotel that is sensibly priced. Perfect for short stays when in the Grimsby area. The restaurant is good and the breakfast is verging towards excellent, but could be improved by the addition of smoked haddock with poached eggs, as well as kippers, to the menu. ”

“We had a large room with sofa and a huge bathroom. We overlooked the garden and were above the patio. It was quite noisy with people chatting outside and smokers. Food was good. Staff friendly. It was Bank holiday and there was a wedding party staying there. Breakfast was chaos the poor staff couldn't keep up with demand. The management should have put extra staff on duty. Commendation to Phillis who kept her cool and had a friendly attitude.”
