“We have stayed at the Hopping Hare a few times. It is a great pub, the food is very good, and the staff are very helpful. We would recommend the Hopping Hare to anyone. Only down side is getting to the rooms can be a little tricky - narrow passage ways and stairs.”

“The staff in this hotel are very friendly and helpful and helped to make this an enjoyable trip. The check-in was efficient and the restaurant, especially the bar, was a really nice space with nice decor and lots of light. “While one could nit-pick (receptionist seemed surprised to have to explain the set-up to us, we'd never been before, broken light in the bedroom flashing and clicking, fan in the bathroom not working, whole place pretty shabby and tired-looking) nonetheless the bed was comfortable, the black-out was good, there was no road noise and the shower was smashing. Overall, amazing for the price. I'd go back.”

“A 1 night stay for work reasons. The pub and food are excellent with a good selection at a reasonable price. My room was comfortable but very cold due to the old leaking sash windows. All in all for the price it's ok for a 1 night stay. ”

“Arrived at 2 pm, front desk asked us to come back at 3, eventually checked-in at 3 ish, front desk informed that the Spa closes at 4:30. Rushed to the Spa straight after check-in, and the woman at Spa told us the Spa closes at 3:45 instead because they need time to "clean-up". So we ended up spending 15 mins at the Spa.. “Just as required. Quiet peaceful rooms. Simple check in, room just what is needed. Even managed to have a fan in room which larger hotels seemingly always struggle to manage to even consider. Staff pleasant and not overbearing in allowing you to just do your own thing at own pace. ”
