“Everything we hoped it would be and more. Friendly, very helpful staff and fantastic food and service which started before we arrived. The views across the Exe are stunning and the extensive grounds beautifully kept. We plan to come back next summer so we can use the beautiful pool and croquet lawn. “This is an 18th century property with a thatched roof that serves cream teas in the afternoon. It has lots of character and won't be for those looking for a modern place to stay. If you have mobilty issues, the steep stairs may also be a problem. However, it not all olde world, there is free internet, lots of easy parking and a breakfast menu that should have enough options to suit everyone.”

“My wife and I enjoyed our anniversary at the Beaumont hotel and the staff could not go far enough to accommodate us. We were upgraded to a Seaview room and everything we asked for was accommodated with a smile and promptly without issue. As 40 something adults we did feel a little on the young side. Since the usual clientele are 'mature' but that didn't detract overall. ”

“The location was great for our purposes and the parking was good. Breakfasts were excellent, there was a nice patio and garden out the back. Well-run family B&B. “Public area very clean and relaxing. We have stayed several times over the last 40 years and this is the first time ive noticed the building start to age. The room was comfortable with a view of the sea. However the bathroom door needs replacing as damaged and window sill needs sanding down and repainted. Staff very helpful and friendly. Ideal for walking into town and getting to the sea front.”
