“The room was well equipped but looked a bit tired. The duvet cover had a bid hole in it, there was only one hand towel and we had to ask for more milk. The music from the function was very very loud!!! It did stop at midnight. ”

“We had a good stay at the property, staff was very friendly and helpful, bed was huge and very comfortable, comfy pillows too, nice specious room which was tad dated but was clean enough not to spoil our stay. Good pub attached to the hotel, great that it had little play area to keep little ones happy and on the day we arrived there was a bouncy castle which was huge bonus. “Tumbleweed Cottage is a beautiful hidden jem that myself and Kay will be visiting frequently for many years to come , Shaan and Sef made us feel so welcome and so comfortable with our stay we wished we could've booked for longer, The Rooms are beautiful with fabulous views of the garden . Breakfast was amazing and Sef's fresh summer fruit yoghurts are just scrumptious, We will be back again with our children (dogs) and walk through the village, May the Force be with You ”

“John and Pablo were so hospitable, it made our overnight stay in their beautiful property memorable. Both our bedroom and ensuite were lovely, spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Location wise, it was perfect for easy walking into Newark and we had a good evening meal at Oscar's Inn just a 3 minute walk from the property. “this hotel is a little surprise. Doesn’t look much from the outside and not helped by being next to a disused building. However, once you enter it is a very different experience. The hotel is lovely, well maintained and the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. We had a family room which was very good, though could do with some better quality bed linen. “The service was excellent, the food good, good breakfast. Parking free and WIFI good, nice sized TVs in the room, nice sized rooms. You CAN sit in the Martini bar area with your dog to eat your meals. The decor is a bit tired looking, 1990s dated and our dog friendly bedroom as not cleaned to the best standard there was a stain on the carpet that would have been easily enough for someone to get rid off which the correct products. Perhaps puppy pads available to buy at reception would help the……
