“We had a couples weekend away. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was amazing and comfortable. Food took a little time to come out, however was well worth the wait! Giant pizzas (enough for 2 of us to share) and highly recommend the ham croquettes!! Buses to the city centre are just outside and frequent. Thank you so much, we will definitely come back again.”

Some parts looked like they needed redecorating but it is an old coaching inn. Only ten minutes from Dyrham Park.”

“The 5-night stay was overall comfortable, although there was an issue with controlling the temperature of the hot water shower. It would occasionally become scalding during showers. It would also be wonderful if breakfast could include some fruit. Other than these minor points, it was a delightful stay. When we arrived in the late afternoon, the reception gentleman kindly helped my daughter and me carry our luggage to the room on the 2nd floor.”

“Nice village hotel and our check in and room were good on the face of it. Other than the guy who checked us in, staff was generally rude. We had booked for breakfast at 08:00 on the first morning, and having travelled the previous day from Asia ended up waking earlier and found ourselves waiting in the breakfast room around 7:10, hoping to be able to request breakfast at 7:30 when it opened. “Meet and greet on arrival was first class by Natalie and she always used our first names when our paths crossed. Food served in the restaurant was excellent and there was some very nice and unusual choices, it was not all just pub grub. Breakfast was hearty and many combinations to suit. Rooms were spacious , would have liked either drawer space or shelves in wardrobe for folded clothes. Rooms serviced daily if required, we would also have been happy with an option to just refesh tea/coffee……

“The beds were comfortable, and as 3 friends, it was great to have a room each and nice space.The living area was spacious and comfortable too, and lots of space in the kitchen for food preparation and cooking. It was just a very short walk to nature, a really lovely area to be in.We'd gave preferred the hot tub a bit warmer, we couldn't turn it up, but of course, if we were that bothered about it we'd have contacted the hosts.”
