“We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful hotel. Everything available on site, but also very easy walking distance to Funchal centre. All of the staff were extremely helpful & friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The food was wonderful & breakfast was a delicious choice of fresh & cooked food. We would highly recommend this hotel & will definitely be back. It was my partners birthday while we were in Madeira & despite us not announcing this in any way, he was presented with a birthday……

“Overall a good experience. Our room was upgraded to a junior suite upon arrival which was a nice touch however a night there was a lot of noise until late as well as early in the morning. I’m not sure if this was due to location of the room (being on first floor and above the dining room/kitchen). It was difficult to sleep, especially if you’re a light sleeper.”

“A bit cramped but for exploring Funchal the location is excellent- we booked a room with a double bed and got a room with two singles which spoilt our arrival but we got a double bed the next night after contacting Expedia. Breakfast was nothing to write home about but it sufficed”
